... 4 years ago? You're certainly a fast action reporter Konstas.
After the hammerfall bannings it was basically -S- and OiN left on Ches. Had a few months of great fights there until Vipe quit OiN and they steadily declined afterwards followed by a split that made them ineffective. After that guilds would pop up, last a couple weeks to a couple months, and disappear. The next thing were come back guilds. IC!, MDC, DJ, etc. Majority of guilds after OiN split shouldn't have made it beyond the first week. However, that was -S-'s soft spot. Until a guild was large enough to be a threat a lot of guys didn't want to deal with them. Very rarely did we put our heel on the throat of a young guild and crush it before it went anywhere. I was frequently unsatisfied with it and quite vocal.
I don't remember what was going on in game at the time of that thread. Regardless I can tell you whatever it was came about due to some person/people not displaying the killer instinct and attitude necessary to dominate. When I communicate I reference examples people should understand. When I talked about KoC negatively it was in reference to cheating and when I did so positively the topic was attitude. I wasn't above exaggerating the circumstance or my response to it. Most figured out what I was saying - other's were slower to catch on. The poster in the screen shot above frequently took things the wrong way and parted from -S- while we were in DAoC roughly a year after that post.
So there ya go.
There were a lot jucier spot posts than that one for you to choose. We didn't use message-realms long but I think it contained majority of our arguments as many of us were sick of UO and trying to convince people to leave, but another large portion wanted to stay. Ah the days. Fun fun. Won't be another gaming experience like it.
