i played along side bb and koc in the early days of uo. apparently darkfall was inspired by early uo -- pretty exciting.

I thought I told you I would be gone for 4mo. I cant get to MSN from here. They block almost everything...I'm actually suprised I could get to this site. Hell yes I'm going to play with you guys. I hope this game rocks. Can you kill mounts? I kinda miss energy bolting a guy off his horse and then killing it. muhahah

Also is Df coming out in the US on the 22nd or just in Europe?
 
It's going to be a euro release on the 22nd... and supposedly that's not even confirmed to be a full box release. It's going to be mainly digital download on the 22nd.

Apparently though, there are boxes designed for the game and some retailers have listed the game on their release date lists.

Old ches player, I was DeATh in LoD, outside of vesper on the strip; I was also in the Horde where I met CD and Los. In '97 I also played with Taran Wanderer(SG3/LoA). Later when I came back to UO I played as one of the many Cancer's and was in SE and I am sure a host of other guilds. I did spend some time pking with KoC(individuals),BBz, many others... throughout, but never more than a day in a row.

It looks like the "Alfar" is going to the best race for pvp.

"With the possible exception of the Alfar, who are universally regarded as evil in the biblical sense, and as such are "red" to every other race - and vice versa - among the five others, there are age-long, deep-rooted (and hard-coded) friendships or enmities. Humans and Mirdain are friendly, and neutral with the Dwarves. Orks and Mahirim are neutral to each other and against all other races."

"Players have the freedom to ignore these dynamics and form clans using members of opposed races, but this is going to be troublesome to manage due to the attitude other players and NPCs will have against them. Evil characters, being outcasts, may have an easier time associating with their evil counterparts from enemy races."

I've played UO since late '97 mostly as KornDogg on the Chesapeake server and the last few years on Siege Perilous as KornDogg and then name-changed to Toucan Sam...
